With our mission always in mind, we work tirelessly to provide educational resources to parents and teachers to improve the learning environment at home and in the classroom. Providing services-Education Expos, Continuing Education Workshops and Seminars, Symposiums and Forums-that present opportunities for educators and parents to ultimately enhance student learning each and every day. We are dedicated and committed to working for a better future.

Healthy Options

Promoting Health and Wellness

CESSM provides evidence based health programs that promote awareness and prevention. Programs like our Mississippi Tobacco Free Coalition (MTFC) project which has provided quality public health education and advocacy for over 8 years to the residents of Mississippi. This project is a grassroots coalition of almost 100 youth, concerned residents and community allies and leaders. MTFC works to reduce youth initiation to tobacco, support tobacco cessation, eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke, and reducing tobacco-related disparities through education, advocacy of public health policy, and promoting tobacco cessation services. It is our goal to promote great opportunities for families to receive information about their health options to empower them to make wise choices about their health and the health of their children. Helping The Community

Community Based Programs

CESSM's programming has been integrated in the many communities and essential to family well-being. From the JAG Mentoring Project that provides youth with a supportive adult mentor to the Community, Parent, School Network which provides parents of struggling students with the resources and support to connect with teachers and school administrators to help that student get back on the right track and achieve. At Community Educational Support Systems of Mississippi, we are dedicated to supporting efforts that improve individuals and families within the community by offering programming that caters to a specific need in the community-youth mentoring, youth-led community service projects, academic tutoring, graduation preparation, career and job readiness, community enhancement... we are always striving to make a difference.
